Which credit card should I use?
Add the cards in your wallet to see which one to use for every kind of purchase, and which no-fee card would fill your gaps.
Your cards
How this works. For each kind of purchase, the card in your wallet with the highest cash-equivalent return wins: cash back at face value, points at our published point values (the earn rate as printed by the issuer is shown next to it). Rotating 5% categories count for one quarter a year, and a “choose your category” card is shown at its top rate in each category it could cover, so pick that category with the issuer. Spending caps are not applied, and a card’s travel rate is shown as stored: for some cards that is the rate for booking through the issuer’s own travel site. Airline, hotel and cruise co-brand cards are compared at their everyday rate for general travel, flights and hotels, and listed separately for purchases with their own brand. Suggested cards leave out co-brand and secured cards. Your card list stays in this browser only and is never sent to us.
Estimates for comparison, not financial advice. Offers, fees, rates and APRs are shown as stored in our database and can change at any time; confirm current terms on the issuer’s site before you apply. Partner links, where they exist, never change the results. Affiliate disclosure.

Frequently asked questions
Which credit card should I use for each purchase?
Use the card that pays the most for that kind of purchase. Add the cards you have above and the table shows the winner for groceries, dining, gas, travel and everything else, using each card’s earn rate and what its points are worth.
Why is a 3x points card sometimes shown below 3%?
Points aren’t all worth one cent. We convert each card’s points to a cash-equivalent return with our published point values, so 3x on a currency worth half a cent counts as 1.5%.
Is my card list saved?
Only in your own browser, so the list is there next time you visit on the same device. It is never sent to us, and share links don’t include it.
