Corrections Policy
Accuracy matters. Here is how we handle mistakes when they occur.
Our commitment to accuracy
We source card data (rewards rates, annual fees, introductory APRs, and benefits) from issuer websites and public disclosures. We update data regularly and run automated checks against issuer sources. Despite these efforts, card offers change frequently and errors can occur.
How we correct errors
- Data errors (wrong fee, rate, or offer details) are corrected as soon as we identify them and logged below. An automated checker re-reads issuer pages and flags anything that differs from our data; flagged items are checked against the issuer’s page before anything changes on the site. Scores recalculate automatically when card data changes. A routine change to an offer by the issuer is an update, not a correction, so it isn’t logged.
- Editorial errors (factual mistakes in written content) are corrected and noted with an updated date.
- Methodology changes are announced on the methodology page with an explanation of what changed and why.
Report an error
If you notice incorrect card information, a broken link, or any other error, please let us know. We review all correction requests and respond promptly.

Factual errors we found and fixed, newest first. Most came from a full accuracy audit in October 2026, in which every card page was rechecked against the issuer’s site.

- Ongoing APR ranges were 0.25 points out of date on several cards and now match the issuers: Chase Freedom Flex and Freedom Unlimited (18.49%–27.99%), Ink Business Cash (16.99%–24.99%), Bank of America Customized Cash and Unlimited Cash Rewards (17.74%–27.74%), Citi Simplicity (17.74%–28.49%), Citi Double Cash (18.49%–28.74%) and Discover it Miles (17.74%–26.74%).
- Blue Cash Everyday (Amex): the intro APR period is 15 months (we showed 18), and the ongoing APR is 19.74%–28.74%.
- Welcome offers: Chase Freedom Flex is $250 after $500 in 3 months (we showed $200); the Hilton Honors Amex card is 70,000 points plus a Free Night Reward after $2,000 in 6 months (we showed 80,000); Marriott Bonvoy Boundless is 3 Free Night Awards (we showed 4); World of Hyatt is up to 60,000 points (we showed 75,000); United Explorer is 70,000 miles after $3,000 in 3 months (we showed 60,000).
- Travel and co-brand earn rates: rates that apply only when booking through a card’s own travel portal, or only with one airline or hotel brand, were counted as the card’s general travel rate on dozens of cards, which overstated their value for most travel. Each card’s general rate is now its everyday rate, with the portal and brand rates listed separately, and rankings were recalculated.
- Ranking pages: the top flat cash-back rate, the top gas rate and the longest 0% intro APR (21 months, not 24) were out of date in page text and FAQs; fixed.
- Canadian cards: 14 cards billed in U.S. dollars or monthly showed their annual fee as “not stated”; the fees now show (for example US$39). Cross-border tables printed negative amounts as “C$-93”; fixed.

- Transfer bonus panels: some destination pages hid live transfer bonuses that had no end date; all live bonuses now show.
- Discontinued and duplicate cards: Capital One Spark Miles was removed, and a duplicate DoorDash card listing was merged.

- 0% APR pages: listed the discontinued Chase Slate Edge; replaced with the current Chase Slate, and the longest intro period corrected to 21 months.
